XCMG newly developed and produced the world"s largest rear drive dump truck with the largest load capacity. This kind of product is mainly used in the mining field. At present, the maximum load capacity of similar products in the world is 360 tons. XCMG has achieved a 400 ton scale through independent research and development, achieving another technological breakthrough for "Made in China" in the international market.

While making efforts to break through the core technology, XCMG has also promoted digital transformation to provide intelligent wings for heavy machinery. According to its Hanyun Internet industrial platform, XCMG has exported more than 1.4 million sets of machinery and equipment to more than 80 countries and regions around the world, providing strong support for global collaborative research and development.

XCMG has continuously improved its level of independent innovation and mastering key core technologies, demonstrating a vivid epitome of the province’s accelerated industrial transformation and promotion of deep integration of the innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain, and talent chain.
Enterprises in Jiangsu have completed 85% of the province"s research and development, further strengthening their position as innovation entities. In the meantime, Jiangsu has focused on the major innovation needs of the industry by implementing about 200 key technology research and development and transformation projects every year so as to have accelerated the improvement of the level of industrial technology innovation.
In the meantime, Jiangsu has consolidated the foundation of scientific and technological self-reliance, and promoted the construction of major scientific and technological innovation platforms, such as the Taihu Lake Laboratory, Zhongshan Laboratory, Shenzhen Digital Earth International Science Program, and the National Third Generation Semiconductor Innovation Center.
Nanjing recently unveiled its first national level technology innovation center for integrated circuit design, aiming to accelerate the resolution of bottleneck technologies and promote high-quality development of the integrated circuit industry.
“We have become a bridge connecting universities, factories, and EDA enterprises by integrating talent cultivation technology research and industrializationhoping to provide a large number of talents for the entire industry”, Yang Jun, Executive Director of EDA National Innovation Center, said.
Jiangsu has issued the Provincial Regulations on Science and Technology Progress, endorse the Provincial Institute of Industry and Research in its efforts to deepen reform, and support top scientists to lead the implementation of "major projects in cutting-edge leading technology basic research" and stimulate innovation vitality for scientific researchers.
As of the end of last year, Jiangsu had recorded more than 99 thousand scientific and technological talents from universities, an increase of 38 thousand from a decade ago. 65% of the country’s academicians and 40% of national major talent engineering experts have carried out scientific and technological cooperation or innovation and entrepreneurship in Jiangsu.
In 2022, Jiangsu recorded a R&D investment of over 370 billion yuan, with a R&D investment intensity of over 3%, reaching the average level of innovative countries and regions. In the meantime, the province recorded a 67% year-on-year contribution rate of scientific and technological progress, and its regional innovation capacity has ranked among the top in the country for many consecutive years.
